John the Beerquester

Homebrew type:
Mini-mash/extract plus mead.

Year you started brewing:
1993.

Favorite commercial:
My favorite brewpub is Selinsgrove Brewing, at which I've never had a disappointing beer. As for bottled: Old Leghumper and Edmund Fitzgerald Porter come to mind.

Favorite homebrew:
Scott's Witbier, Eric's Fruit Wheat beers, Mark's Pumpkin Ale.

Why you homebrew:
I actually started homebrewing at a time when I wasn't even drinking beer, because I was just curious as to how beer was made. The first batch from a kit, Ironmaster Porter, was so good, unlike any commercial beer I ever tasted, that I was hooked. Since then, I have enjoyed trying to perfect beer styles that I enjoy, and it is great fun getting together and brewing with friends and tasting beers that are so incredibly good tasting that they don't last long enough to prove how good they were!
